Robert's Biogaphy

Robert Michael Frost grew up in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, situated on the Canadian prairies. At an early age he developed a propensity for looking for rocks and especially for finding fossils. Discovering a fossilized ammonite inside a round concretion was just like finding treasure. He later attended the University of Saskatchewan where he earned his four-year Advanced Degree in Geological Sciences.

Upon graduation he managed his own geological consulting company, drilling oil and gas wells in western Canada. In 1992, with a depressed oil price, Robert joined an industrial water treatment company for four years. During this time, he wrote numerous award winning sales and technical reports, several of which were selected as exemplary examples and were distributed internally nationwide as templates to be used to acquire additional sales for the company. In 1996, Robert re-established his own geological wellsite consulting company. In 2009, Robert started exploring for diamonds and rare earth minerals. He established his own resource exploration company.

Robert found wellsite geology to be a challenging career and soon earned a reputation for excellence. The one thing geology lacked however, was a high degree of creativity, which Robert missed in his life. Like most jobs, geology included a degree of repetitious and monotonous activity. With respect to his job, this was found in washing hundreds of muddy downhole drill cutting samples during the drilling of each oil well. During this boring task, Robert’s thought process would exercise his creativity by developing themes and ideas for unique stories and possible novels. He would keep a designated file called “Proposed Story Ideas” and add to the file’s content as the ideas came to him. Over the past decade, the story file has grown and now contains numerous possible story outlines.

Robert started writing his first adventure treasure novel, “The Keys of Noah”, after his great uncle, Eddie Frost, a self-made prospector in British Columbia, shared with him about finding an old gold claim in the mountains that took Eddie eighteen years to finally locate. Eddie called the rich, gold deposit “Prospector’s Dream”. Robert took the concept of the Prospector’s Dream gold deposit and expanded it into an entertaining adventure treasure novel involving Noah’s Ark.

His most recently completed novel, “Deep Sand Horizons”, chronicles the adventures of two friends, hunting for meteorites in the harsh Sahara desert, where they discover meteorites, adventure, prophecy, and a German nemesis, who is also searching for something in the desert. This mysterious man has been literally combing the desert for the past thirty years.

Robert M. Frost married Roxanne, who graduated with a Degree in Education with an English Major also from the U. of S. Over the next ten years, they were blessed with four amazing children. Utilizing Roxanne’s teaching talents, they decided to homeschool their children. The children all excelled and proved themselves as exceptional overachievers. One son obtained his law degree while the other three chose to pursue their degrees in medicine. His wife, Roxanne, is a published author. Robert presently resides in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada.
